I have a mbu , got it Oct,2008 and it was tiny compared to Boo I think it was 5 inch. now it is about 8 inch. I love it soo much opening the tail swimming fast . Its not scrared like the ( dwarfs and gps ) when I walk into my kids rooms . The mbu is in the dinning room , I even catch it watching T.V. ( well it is a 60 inch.) haha even when my pugs are eating across from the tank .
I hope my little baby grows up like close too 20 inch.

Look for the Mbus listed on the link at the bottom--

for $5,000... you get a...

32 INCH MBU!!!

Store just outside of Houston, if you have money to burn or just want to see it. I haven't visited yet-- it's a good reason to visit the in-laws, though!

This place is by my house. The Mbu is HUGE, but I'm not sure about 32". Maybe 27" is closer. Also, They have the most incredible collection of F0 wild caught African Cichlids you have ever seen! Definitely worth the trip.

It is on sale in a store in Holland. It's as big as they can get!
I have never seen bigger!
It's about 70 cm from head tot tale! That's about 30 inches!
Really big fat fish, well fed!
I think the price was 575 euros which is around 750 US dollars...
Enjoy!

How can he turn around in that tank?

Yanbbrox

I remember that fish, accident at work if I recall, sad story

FlyingDJ

I asked the people working in the store, because the tank the MBU is in, is way too small.
They are going to put him into a tropical pond in the store.

Pufferpunk
11-03-2009, 5:40 PM
Well, which is it, happy ending or sad ending?

11-03-2009, 5:42 PM
my lfs (pruess) has one that is atleast 2.5feet easly i will call them and find out for sure

ryeguy28

nope just 2feet he is in a 150gal

FlyingDJ

I think, there is a misunderstanding here and a mix up of MBU puffers. The one I am talking about, is the one on the pictures and is swimming in an tank in a LFS in the Netherlands, Europe!
This MBU is in excellent health and is about to be transfered to an indoor tropical pond, so HAPPY ending.

I have no clue what Yanbbrox:"I remember that fish, accident at work if I recall, sad story" is talking about???

Hey, just wondering ryeguy 28:"nope just 2feet he is in a 150gal" which LFS is this?
Thanks and greetings.

That's so sad... I bet he can't turn around in there. :(

Not nearly large enough for a 24-30" fish.
