I should have my uncle add one to his 9000gl koi pond now that would be sweet. Fourtunatly he can bring it inside with the scaless koi in the winter so it wont die. I should talk him into it.

I am surpised there are any natural freshwater ponds on Big Pine Key, it is a very small island.

Did you take that picture yourself?

Damn winter. That would be so sweet though, rather then the koi in my pond, a gigantic aro... one day...

That wouldn't surprise me, FL ecosystem is messed up... burmese pythons, nile monitors... etc... its becoming quite a diverse place!

When arows are viewed from above, to me it looks like a Chinese mytholigical painting. Thier pectorals make them look like underwater DRAGONS!

Just the other day a lady I was going to buy a tank from, said she was going to release all of her fish in a lake.:headshake But my friend (who was my transportatation because he had a pickup truck) said he couldn't take me at the last moment. She told me she had a a koi, a few tetras and tiger barbs.

You can catch just about anything in South Florida. I'd love to go fishing thier one day.

Usually I'm not a fan of digging up old threads, but this one was a goood one to see. Looks as if there are lots of little fishes in there for the silver to snack on.
