there are breeders in Tx I knew the guy who owned the snake farm up till about a year ago when he sold it. He bred them for awhile. I also have a lilac crowned amazon got it about a month before they went endangered. The guy I got him from begged for him back because they jumped up in price big time. Also got a white capped pionus that I adopted for free off of craigslist.

Yeah, sort of. I would let them out to fly a couple days a week but they had to be supervised. We had a really bad problem with hawks at our farm. They would sit in the trees just waiting to snag a passing pigeon.

Even though we live in the city we still have hawk problems too. One summer we lost close to 10 rollers to hawks, some weren't taken but are young birds so they get lost.

If you want to see what a caecilian looks like just google Caecilian or their web site is Gymnophiona.org
I have caught both types, aquatic and terrestrial in the Amazon. They stay underground and I try to dig them up at least once a week. The fun is they move so fast it's like I'm back in the jungle. I loved going to the Amazon and fish and do jungle survival training but I'm too old to do it now.

i have 2 GALS giant african land snails, called big boy and lil girly...they are Asexual (i think thats it) so it doesnt matter when i get them mixed up :grinno:
oh and i used to have some pink winged flying stick insect and bramble stick insects.
the bramble ones were hardcore!!! my grans put them out for an 'airing' one winter day and left them out over night where they froze. the next i was sposed to b taking them in to show and tell and school. so i thought i would take them anyway coz that was even COOLER than them being alive (and beat the mug with the picture of the cat on it that looked like my cat that i took in the week before) and when i got to school they had defrosted!!!
my gran left them out the next night too...just to make sure they were thoroughly 'aired' they didnt make it that time,,,id forgot about them. ooops

Not the most exotic, but I don't seem them around very much...
My Yellow-Collared Macaw, old pic, his wings are fully grown back now as I believe birds should be allowed to fly.
Only problem is that, being a male he's bonded to my mom more than he has me. He used to only like me, but now he hisses at me most of the time.:nilly:

Once birds become attached, especially more intelligent species it's hard for them to turn to other people.
That's why most birds like macaws and things end up in shelters.
Like at my local store, a Scarlet macaw was brought in after its owner died, the bird became depressed and plucked all of its chest feathers out and wouldn't eat.
same as above different lighting
