well here is my new member to our tank.
parachanna obscura 18inch.
been waiting all week for him and im very happy.1st snakehead iv kept and iv gotta say iv got the bug for more.

thanx very much every body.he has been well looked after.the guy i got him off let him go becos he was geting to big.
as soon as i seen him i said yes to having him.
he might be abit bigger than 18inch bcos we have a tsn which is 18inch and he makes that look small.

great looking fish where did you get him from ? a breeder in the UK or your LFS ?

There will be americans on this forum who will be dead sick knowing you got one of these fish...lol it's illeagal for them to keep em.

African Snakehead they get to about 20" so he is a big boy :thumbsup: Very nice fish. :clap

Thats a beautiful fish. I saw a couple of them at my LFS back home.. Too bad I have the reds tho... Might sell them and get one of those..

jelly i think iv deffo got the bug now.i might look into geting a stwatii snakehead(if thats how you spell it)and may be a few more.
its brill how he seems to just glide when swimming about.

iv gotta say its by far the best fish iv got.

infact it looks so different from mine (and all other obscuras i have seen) that i start to wonder what a full grown parachanna insignis looks like? anybody knows that? :confused:
