sick and tired of all the extra maintenance of my 240 planted discus tank. So, while I had a few days off for the holidays, I ripped everything out, and started over. The scape is nothing fancy at all, just some junk I had in the garage. At least it'll be easier to take care of. I also moved a bunch of discus around, making more room for an upcoming shipment. I added 12 discus from another tank, which brings the total for this tank to 19. With all the cards, loaches and other stuff, it has around 70 fish in it. Some of the discus are still a little freaked from the move, but they will color up in a few days.

I like the setup layout. It looks easy to clean but at the same time doesn't look too empty. You did a great job!
What did it look like before? Looks good !!

Thanks guys! You never know for sure if it looks OK until you get the MonsterFishKeepers "seal of approval". What did it look like before? It was an overgrown jungle of live plants, which made keeping the bottom clean a nightmare, especially with 10 other tanks to care for. :D
Beautiful :) I wish I had a 240 Discus tank.

I can imagine the nightmare that tank would have caused when you were doing maintenance! I'm worried about going from barebottom to a somewhat aquascaped tank since my discus are now almost young adults and not so keen to eat 5x a day.
Hopefully you'll love your discus more with less work! Tank looks really great and so do most of your discus!

I like it this way, clean and simple.
I like planted tanks too, but for discus I think this is better for them, IMO.
