Thank god ponds are finally melting and the fish are biting. Nothing huge, but after a long winter anything will do. :)

That is a chain pickerel, not a pike. I don't eat fish so I have no idea what they taste like, but I would assume they aren't that good.

Nice. Wish I had more fish like that here. We Just have Trout, Sturgeon and Salmon.

yes, pike are good to eat, and pickerel are pretty much the same thing, so I would assume they taste the same. They are boney, but taste great :)

yup, I'm from Mass. Exactly a month from today the boat goes in and we get to the serious fishing. 40 lb. stripers on live bait is addictive!

good catch bro....
Pike and muskies are my favorite eating fish, pikerel are to small. Fillet them and don't forget to remove sideral bones. Livers are also tasty. The meat cooks up firm, white, clean, and mild. yum. Better than bass or trout.
