Man if you get away with this I am going to be so jealous. I have not seen any of my pikes to date be able to be housed together with my Johanna! The Lucius and the Xingu are co exsiting but I think it's because the Lucius stays in the PVC. And of course you seen were the Cobra is. I don't think he will ever be able to co exsit with any of the other Pike's.

Man your a lucky dude, keep us updated.

the johanna has been cool with everybody so far wherever I've put it and I'm basically starving it since it doesn't eat much of what I give. I'm hoping since the lucius eat pellets and krill that the jo will follow suit.

I'm more worried about the lucius ganging up on the jo. I believe they are going to form a breeding pair when they mature. They already hang out together all the time. Of course, the jo will get bigger than them, but it hasn't grown much lately.

Ya, your cobra is a mean S.O.B. It's amazing how much some pikes differ like that, especially when looking at the same species.

Well I had 3 Lucis, 3 Jos, and a Sax in a 125.... One Lucis (extra male got put in the corner with some tail fin damage so I bailed him out. The rest were doing good until a few nights ago one of my Jos was going at it with the Sax. Then one of the bigger Jos comes over pushes the other Jo back and takes over the jaw locking with the Sax. I ran to get the big net but when I got back they were in the same area as if nothing happened.... Watchin it carefully..... Mine are in a 125 as well....

It can work, I kept an 11" Trombeta Marm, 10" Johanna and 9" X1 together in a 125. Raised from small together. Never had an aggro issue. Alas I lost my Tromb and got rid of the X1 and the female Jo was killed by a male I tried to pair her with.:(

they were all together months ago in a 75 until i separated them because someone (could've been other fish, too) had killed the other johanna I got at the same time.

lost the johanna :irked:

something was never right with it. It had what looked to be some weird fat deposits on the ventral side of its head and once it hit 6" it never seemed to grow and seemed to quit eating. It got what I think is fin rot. I treated for it, but couldn't shake it. I went away Friday night until Saturday night and it had taken over and was dead :( I think it came on due to stress of moving and being in w/ 2 other pikes.

Mannn sorry to hear about your loss bro. I treid to put my X1 in with the Johanna all in the 150g and it was a big no go. It chased the X1 until i couldn't take it anymore so I am going to give up until there muh bigger and more calmer. Oh yea had to move the Dovii away from the Cobra as well the Dovii was trying to kill him for killing her young offspring I guess. Mixing aggressive fish always has it's draw backs. Sorry to hear about your loss agian bro....

yep, that's the way it goes. I don't think they directly killed it though. At least you know your cobra can be submitted, lol.

I put the Losiellei in there last night with the Cubans so we will see how that works. The Dovii is just a bully but because she wont get that big she better watch it because down the road she may need some alies.

hope that works out. I wish the dovii luck, lol

Well maybe not the Johanna is on her butt now but I can't move anything else. And the Cobra had to go as well he was getting really aggressive with the Cubans. I may be getting rid of a few cichlids if your interested? LMK. The Johanna and the Lucius and I have one of my Hybrids that I don't want to die. But the Cobra shreaded his tail.

I probably don't want any cichlids, but LMK what you're thinking about losing.

the female lucius finally started eating pellets, so I haven't been feeding them any krill. I need to grow out a new pike of some sort to replace the johanna, but it prob won't go in w/ the pair.

Good to hear. What are you thinking about picking up next?not sure. it's going to have to grow out in the 40 w/ the lyonsi and when the time comes, I want to try to put it in the 75 w/ the p-bass growouts.
