The tank im putting the discus in afterwards? A 150g. But it might be a 20g not a 10g. But either way, WILL IT WORK?!? And for approx. how long?

It would depend on how large your discus would be. If the tank is a 20g, I would say you can keep one temporarily until it gets to be about 4-5 inches max, with regular water changes. I kept two full grown discus with some rummynose tetras, cories, otocinculus (sp?), and 2 siamese algae eaters in a 55g planted tank (check my avatar), and that worked well for me for 3 years. I wouldnt add any tankmates with a discus until you get the lager tank.

Thats why i want to move it to a 20g so it get's fed. Or can i cancel out this problem. It's tankmates are: Endlers Guppys, more guppys, neon tetras, glowlight tetras and slivertip tetra and a pleco couple species of goruami's and thats all. HELP!

Thanks, Jag
Have you only got one discus,if so thats not really good for the lonely discus, they prefer at least 5 or 6 together to get them at their best, one is just not fair on the fish, unless i have misunderstood your post?
All the tank mates you list are fine and the ones in the other posts too, hope this helps.
Cheers steve

The only fish I could see hogging the food seems to be the gouramis.
Discus do need to be in groups, so if the discus is alone in the 125, then that is probably the problem. You can put it in the 20gal (as long as it deffo is a 20gal not 10) for a while to get his strenght up but not for too long. Feed him good quality foods that are near impossible to resist like live blackworms, frozen bloodworms, brineshrimp, daphina etc. make the 20gal nice and decor full with tons of hang out spots. Don't have it bare, you will just stress him even more.

what do you feed your discs and do you use a cone feeder? i use a cone feeder and the discs push other fish out of the may to eat. i would not put a discs in a 10. maybe a 20 but just to grow them out faster

Cone feeder? Do you mean those floating ones with live worms coming out the holes? If so I got that. Very good idea.
