Hey people,

I recently split up my community tank stock into various smaller tanks for breeding purposes.

Now I find myself with my main tank (5x2x2) looking very bare so looking for new stock to introduce.

In there I have 11 CL's 3-7", 1 geophagus about 6" and one flagtail about 4". I want to keep these fish in there but introduce some new fish.

I'd like some oddball type fish, but nothing aggressive to the point that it well hassle my current residents.

Something active that won't grow bigger the 10-12"

Any suggesstions would be much appreciated.

Thanks

a school of hydrolycus scomberoides?
if you can keep them alive.

or alternatively,redtail payaras.
but they get to 18 inches.
max record in captivity that is.

Hi dude. Personally id do what channarox says, or a few of the nicer larger barb species. A good sized group of torpedo barbs or rainbow fish would look great!

ah i'd be too scared to get scom's, heard so many horror stories :(

redtail payaras would be cool, will try and see if theres any available locally.

hey bruce, long time no speak.

i did consider denisonii as LFS has them for 10 pounds each at 2.5", quite a lot cheaper then I've seen anywhere else.

Bruce do you know of any vendor for payara in the uk?
