I'm thinking of making a 180 gallon acrylic tall into a vivarium. i would like to put only 30% water. im new to the whole plant and vivarium thing. i would really appreicate it if someone could give me some info on how to set-up a vivarium perfectly. Also what kind of animals i can put in there. Am i only able to put in Frogs and toads? thank you for your help.

P.S. i would like the set-up to look similar to the bottom picture. (picture from Vitaliy's forum)
You can probably keep mudskippers and archerfishes in it if filtration is efficient and the water is brackish.

I had a vivarium set up when I wanted to get dart frogs. With 30% water, dart frogs may drown.
Theres no reason why you can't keep some fish in the water, as long as you have some kind of filteration/heater for tropical. Cork bark is often used for a backgorund with vivariums.
heres some plants people use for their vivs...

You can find alot of these plants at your local home depot or plant nursery. Just search around and gather info before buying the plants. Some plants can get too full of moisture and crumble, some grow FAST, some get huge, etc.
For that cool fog effect I used a ultrasonic humidifier. You connect a viynle tube from the humidifier to the tank. Get an elctronic timer and set the humidifier for what time you want it to go on and off at.
Hope that helped a little...i dont know how you would go about setting it up. That depends on how exactly you are planning the set up to be.
