I currently have 15 to 17 Koi, ranging in size from 5" to 20", is this to many for my 5,600 gallon pond or can I add a few more. Also looking to add a cleanup fish, any suggestions, I live in Michigan so,

Nothing will really clean up after them but several of the native catostomidae like the longnose carpsucker or the highfin carp sucker can be kept with them.
If you have good filtration and a spray bar, waterfall, or splash board return you shoul be able to double the number of fish safely, in a well filtered and oxygenated pond figure roughly about 200g per big koi. (Cubic inch rule, 20"L x 5"H x 2" thick + 200g). Here are pics of the two fish I mentioned (from fishbase).

wow that's nice! so even a poor filter or no filter at all would keep them alive and happy? i want to build a pond with koi in it, but i have no idea how..

whooooooooooaaaaaa, i wouldnt go that far

as with all fish filteration for koi is a MUST!!

koi do clean up after themselve but they dont eat there own crap

koi are big animal that lack a true stomach and so produce alot of waste, and in turn they are also big consumers of oxygen.
