She just picked these up today with Xmas money. They were vented and I am pretty sure they are a male and female. One has definately laid eggs before. They are also about 3"-3.5" in size. She has been eyeing them up for the last few weeks. Here is a pic or two:

nice...look great

Think thats so cool. Good for her to put her money towards that..teaches some lessons too. Plus those two will grow big and give some good personality

Thanks for the comments. She loves these two. So far so good with them. I thought they would tear each other to ribbons since they were being kept in seperate tanks at the LFS. We are keeping an eye on them and have the eggcrate divider ready! Fingers crossed!!!

BTW, She has been keeping fish since she was 6 or 7. Her first fish were convicts in a 10gal and now she has moved to a 110gal and a 20gal Q-tank. We have a horse farm and she definately knows the value of a dollar especially when you have to shovel manure to get what you want!

that's right put her to work, and i thought my warehouse job for my dad sucked you make her shovel horse ****

Just like I tell her, be happy you have what you have including the boots you are wearing to shovel that up. The amish kids nearby do everything around the farm barefoot most of the year. Besides, she's a farm kid and would rather step in it than hear it!

its a nice pair. flowerhorns are really nice to look at. i started with convicts too then moved up to the bigger fishes. like midas and flowerhorn. take good care of them.
