So I was doing a water change the other day and I was just kinda sitting there while the siphon was draining the tank. Next thing I know, my BGK was swimming up the siphon! At first he just "examined" it with his tail, then he got out and went in head first. At one point he was even all the way above the water level in the tank. I'll have to get a picture next time he does it. Anyways, it was just another thing that made me love my BGK even more.
Has anyone else had this or something similar happen to them? I would to love to hear your stories about what makes you love BGKs.

Be careful that you don't siphon it out or that it doesn't get stuck in the hose.

When my BGK was smaller he would do the same thing while I was doing water changes. But now he is larger he doesn't fit. I have also had a juvenile angle fish to the same, had to stop the water flow so it could get out. Have to agree a BGK's that is happy with its environment do the damdest things thats what makes them such great fish to keep.

Mine recently picked up a 'slingshot maneuver'. He has two corner pieces of PVC pipe with flat slate rock on top of them. He will slowly swim into one side of the pipe, and JET out of the other, like he is being slingshotted. He'll do it over and over, sometimes swimming head-first into my plants (sometimes with a lot of force). I never thought fish could have "fun", or even knew what "fun" was until I saw him do this. It's hilarious.
