Average marble price is $300 and up depending on quality. You can breed them in a tank as small as a 180 gallon, but you would have to upgrade very soon after they reached breeding size.

If you only plan on having a pair of them full grown, I would go with a 360 gallon tank. I've never bred them myself, but give me a couple of years- my total aquarium gallons present in my house will be over 2k+ in less than a month. :)

My water bill is a bit over $60 a month, but it is about to get crazy when I set up the drip system on our new 360 and the two 523's. Don't even get me started on the electric bill, lol.

If you are going to do something, lol, might as well do it right! I saw your new tank, as well! Very nice!

If you are going to breed, you can do it in a smaller tank, but for the best results I think it is worth it to go as big as you can- you'll end up doing it later, anyways, so might as well save yourself the hassle. :grinno:
