Im making my own food for the discus I have in the same tank as my 2 motoros. The recipe is really everything a stingray eats as far as raw shrimp, prawns, bloodworms etc. But I haven't heard of anyone feeding their stingrays beef heart and Im wondering 1) if its safe for them .. and 2) if they will like it. If not, does anyone have any other suggestions of a substitute to put in the discus food that will be safe & happy for my rays. Thanks!

I did find this thread

I just wanted maybe a few more opinions on whether or not "its safe" for the rays, or if they will have a hard time digesting it.

I fed mine beef heart for a while. They ate it the first time I introduced it. I don't feed them it now, was just trying different things. It is probably harder for them to digest and should require smaller amounts than other food. I would feed away, just don't make it the staple for their diet.
