lol its when other speices of fish breed most the time happens with cichlids but most are made from getting eggs out of 1 fish and then getting a diffrent fish a getting jizz out of it and mixing it 2gether ;)

Well, 'oscar n redtail cat's' explanation was the most slang savvy, but yeah. You just mate two different kinds of fish and out of the eggs a hybrid pops out.
