Got him from HPizzle, he bought it as a Black Aro. but it does not really look like one, but it is very, very blue but the pictures do not show it well.
HPizzle is coming over today so he will tell you to that its very very blue. So if its not a black which im pretty sure its not its a pretty good looking silver.
The pictures dont sho the amazing colors at all really.

Thats a nice looking silver...Definately not a black/blue, as at that size, a black arowana would not have those red patterns on its anal fin. It should look like this at that size.

thought so the orange on the fins is really why i didnt think it was a black
and at the store (very good store and knowlidgable) it was labled black/blue.

i did think it was a blue in the store. they were using some kind of cheap lights and it looked freaking purple. my dad even thought it was a blue. oh well. i got it for cheap and passed the savings on to zach.

At 4 to 5" blacks have very dull body coloration. There fins also lack much coloring

just askin, i know this might be dumb, but I have seen several silvers on mfk young and small, but I have never kept one up until about a month ago. First of all I think he is awsome. Great appetite and color, but does anybodies have a peacock like spot on the gill area? Is that normal?...Water,PH and everything is fine. He had it when I got him. It is just a multicolored spot on the gill area. Anyone?

guys its a black aro. it just looks silver cuz of too much light there but if u look really closely on the tail, its actually orange. baby black aros lose their black color as they grow.

The OPs aro is not a black aro, colors aside the tail is way too big to be a black.
