I just got a 14" female motoro. The original owner has had her since she was 4". He had to get rid of her cause he had her in a 6'x18" footprint tank. The crazy thing is that he had a 11" male and they would only breed in the 125 gallon tank that only had a fx5 on their and he only did 25% waterchanges every two weeks. He said she has had 5 litters.
She has spikes on the back of her disc like on her tail and on her face in the front of the disc. I have never noticed that before on other big rays!!!!
I also included some pics with my new moonlights. Tell me what you think!!!!

Too sweet! Congrats Tony! She is beasty! Never seen those spikes before on the disc like that.
And yea...I've heard of several rays breeding in 125s.
Whats that light colored ray in the third pic?

Awesome Motoro! Just sayin, though, that FireMedic is the owner of the true big mama, lol. You should see the size of his ray! :)
Very nice, though! Your setup is very sweet indeed.

Thanks, the light colored ray in the third pic is a female orbignyi.
He is already trying to get freaky with her. He is chasing her around the tank and has some bite marks on the back of her disc. He also trying to swim upside down underneth her. Hopefully she will eat today!!!

OK, the male is really on her now!!!! He is chasing her around the tank and she has 2 small bite marks on her disc. What is too much???? Should just let her keep getting bitten or just wait till it looks really bad???

use ur best judgment... if he is successful at hittin her up, he might let off.. if this is his first time, he might never let off..
