She is about 6.5"..
forgot my charger at work so had to use the camera phone sorry for the crappy picts.
now my little boy has a partner. You think she is around 1 year old?

yes her tail looks short and it has a huge stinger..
Very nice pattern,
it missed 2 planes so i had hell getting her. Not Pedro's fault at all, the airlines were so screwed up.... Water was pretty bad she was in, but ate a pc of worm in the bag, so should be just fine.

wow she is beautiful.... i have tried contacting pedro...so many times i have given up he also had me send him my number and never called...but i guess its good to see his rays are nice...so im impressed with the ray but more impressed you actually got ahold of him and he shipped a fish lol.

i think he said he had them for about a week.
the pattern is awesome, but the black sand helps a lot.
look how dark the black sand makes the little guy.

Yeah that black sand makes its patter pop. Its the only color I use with rays.

she did not eat last night or this morning, her breathing was very shallow and light today, I hope the amonia in the shipping bag of 5-6ppm is not paying a toll on her. After missing flights she was bagged for about 24 hours.

shipping must really be stressing them out, or Hystrix just are not very hardy, maybe that is why there is not much around.

Hystrix have historically been considered a hardy ray and have the lowest after catch death rate of any other ray.
I have a feeling since they are so cheap, exporters and importers are treating them like retics and not providing them with the care they would of a higher dollar ray. They are probably being way over packed per box.
