Enough Filtration with new canisters?

I have three tanks (75G, 46G, and 36G) that I want to run using canister filters alone or a combination of a canister filter and an HOB.

I purchased an XP3 for the 75G (houses med-large SA's) and an XP2 for the 46G (houses sm-med SA's), but after reading some more, I am beginning to worry that each tank requires more filtration than that.

The 36G (houses goldfish) came with a Cascade 100, which I also think it too underpowered.

How should I arrange these cans among the tanks and what additional filtration should I add (I have a two spare Emperor 400s that may need new biowheels and 2 spare Penguin 150s that I could use.)

Note: I also have a 28G (houses dwarf cichlids) that I could consider putting a canister on if I end up with a small canister, such as the Cascade 1000, "leftover", but right now its got two Penguin 150s.

xp3 is plenty for a 75 and i imagine the same goes for the 46 and the xp2

I would agree that properly set up the XPs will filter those tanks adequately. It is always a good idea to have redundant filtration though. A malfunction or mishap during cleaning could spell doom for your tank.
