They max out at 14 inches, so yes, the tank will be big enough when he is fully grown. That's a great looking little guy.
Yep you'll...err... He'll be fine! LOL Beautiful and I'm jealous too.
yeah as long as he can turn around fine and swim forward good hes ok.

Wow, that tank is awsome! You may just need to take some stuff out when he gets bigger for more swimming room.

Great fish! I had an 11 incher for 6 years that died a few years ago. I kept himin a fifty breeder and he was just fine. Never thought about using black gravel but I bet the white fish will show great on that black gravel . Mine was a real scrapper! Enjoy!

I got him in May of '07 at maybe 4.5-5 inches. So maybe he is around 2.5 years old or so. ? He is probably around 11" now.

Well, it's not hijacking a thread if it is the threadstarter requesting pics:)
Here are a few more pics:

What are you feeding your guy? Mine's favorite food is NLS large fish sinking pellets, which I recommend you get for yours. The NLS is the staple, and I suppliment in Hikari Carnivore for more fat and protein. Also, you should feed bloodworms once or twice a week.
Mine has never been interested in eating small fish, so it might be cool for your tank if you add some fast dithers like Danios or something.

angler feed my guy super soft, tetramin crisp, and hikari sinkn wafers. have a few silver dollars in the tank as dithers. he dosnt like them to much. chases them around as bit. also have 10" gt in there with him, they get along really well. thanx for postn the pix of your guy. looks almost just like mine when he was small. kinda gives me an idea what mine may look like when he gets bigger.
looks very nice. should be a good tank for it.
