what do you all feed your porcupine puffers? mine seems to be picky towards clam.

mine will eat anything.. mostly i feed him freeze dried shrimp. Then as a treat i will throw in a goldfish or two

All of the puffers I've ever owned could never refuse (frozen) shrimp! No matter how shy, they jumped on the stuff.

Just a side note, its not a good idea to feed goldfish to a marine fish. It will eventually kill them. I don't remember the specifics but there is something that they can't process and it builds up.

I would suggest krill as a staple. Puffers need a hard food source the keep their teeth trimed. I would suggest feeding prawn or other shell fish from the grocery atleast weekly. Snails are also important to their diet if you can find the appropiate sized ones. The snails should be about the size of the puffers eye.

goldfish contain large amounts of thiaminase, a necessary enzyme for protein processing. Use other feeders if youmust live feed.
