What can anyone tell me about Flowerhorn fish ? what do they eat ? what are there habits? and anything else you can tell me ! :feedback:
Aggressive and just like any other cichlid, they take pellets too.

What size do they grow to ?

They grow anywhere from 12-15 inches, they eat just about anything you can find including tank mates. Sometimes you will get a real placid fish and others you will get a killer that will not tolerate anything in the tank and I mean anything, not even your hand. But thats the gamble you take with a hybrid fish.

no two flowerhorns are the same that is the great thing about them I have one that love tublflex worms and the rest of mine won't touch them. I have one in a commuity tank and one that will kill anything I put with him. great fish lots of different colors and styles.

flowerhorn males are steril and cant fertilize female eggs but my bud greg said that a Altolamprologus calvus cold possibly fertilize the eggs he had a female flowerhorn and a male Altolamprologus calvus in the same tank and the Altolamprologus calvus kept on trying to fertilize those dam eggs.

Your wrong dudel most fh males are now fertle. Some are. I curently have a male that is fertle. How i no?
I got fry from him and the female i had. he kiled female shortly after i got the fry. But hes fertle . I got three fh im selling two and keeping the one i no fertle.
yippee...nowadays the male FH are fertile.

I love that FH!
I love the orange colors.
I love this "red/texas FH" I saw.
He's all a mild, light orange on the body, with red/pink color covering his gills.
So pretty, but I refuse to spit out $250 for him.:)
