I'm glad the best photo won. Clarity and not washed out, great subject, and good use of the rule of thirds.

Congrats dude, it was a good shot.
I'm not saying any fish is better than any other.
A lot of the time votes are swayed because the fish in the pic is "cool"
I'll vote for a neon tetra if the comp. and clarity (not to mention contrast, subject placement, and difficulty of shot) are good.

wow, what a shock..thanks to those who voted.
actually, I entered this for the Feb photo of the month but was not submitted early enough.
I did not even vote for myself due to limited internet time. my best friend and business partner passed away (lung cancer) last weekend, I'd been busy helping his family with the funeral stuff the past week. he was also in the hospital the month prior to his death, and I'd been spending most of the time I usually use to surf the net with him, in the hospital.
thanks again, what a way to pick me up.

congrats on your win man, the pic was one of the better ones winning so far this year. I'm concerend thought that people are voting based on the fish and instead of the picture still? In the thread that this one won there was a shot of a large catfish with dramatic lighting and you could just tell it was a monster sized fish. That photo placed second to the arowannas shot. It just seems like the votes are squewed (sp?) by people who own the fish in the photo. but i guess it's just like voting for president... it's always politics!! :grinno:
