There are smaller but no less big species of Lates that are more suitable to the hobby.
Baby chinese ones are being sold for SGD4 for a 4-5incher.

There was a pic of the same fish where the bloke who caught it has his head inside the fish's mouth! if i find it i'll post it look's funny as hell
