If i could be so bold to say that if you can get hold of one the best one is the Endlicheri Endlicheri (saddled Bchir) they are by far the best looking but are very rare to get hold of. They are totally wild caught .
If you can find one it will be the Diamond of your collection;)

thank you, but i think you should measure him better. You tend to exaggerate sizes :D Or take a pic with a ruler next to it. There is a difference between 3.5" and 5".
I know i tend to do that, i didn't measure him out of the tank to get accurite measures, he is probably 4-4.5" when i take a closer look.
When i got to Tjorvar i saw yours 2, they where a bit smaller and skinnier. Yes and 27 Poly's, thats impressive, someday i will have a collection like yours.

He looks good! Really good! I wish you the best with your new collection Jakob!
Just took him out of the tank to measure, exactly 4".

congrats, I started with an albino sen myself and share your goal of owning them all (and possibly trying to breed them one day when I have the space and time)
Thanks, i will in 2 years or so propably get a 180g or 250g. So i can house more bichirs.
Im getting a video up. Its uploading on youtube right now.

There isn't even 1 Endli in Iceland, there isn't any bichir sp. that is ALWAYS available. But i can always order the sp. that are in my to buy list on page 1.

Thanks Serg. Im getting a Delhezi in March.
Well it didn't start well. The rope jumped into the filter box and crawled up the filter hose and got stuck, i saw it fast enaugh and took him out. I dont know if there was any damage for the rope but he has been at the surface since i got him up (5mins ago).
Oh yes and there are good news. My lfs is checking its list, they had a Teugelsi. I can get the price on monday, but it is probably $200 or something like that.

Congrats on the albino and ropes. That albino senegal looks like a semi shortbody. It will look nice and fat when it's bigger. Max size is probably 10" for semi-short body. Becareful with the rope because they are master of escaping out of tank. My rope jump out of my tank through a small gap less than a penny coin size. A teugelsi is definiely worth it if you can get one. They're the best looking bichirs in my opinion.
The Ropefish is ok now, + im getting a Senegalus on thursday.
The ropefish is doing good now.
Here, lets take a look on what im buying:
Thursday: Senegalus normal
march: Delhezi
June: Palmas Polli
July: Ornatipinnis
November: Lapradei
My current keeping:
1x Albino Senegalus
1x Ropefish

Haha Serg. I just called the lfs that said that they could maybe get a Teugelsi, is wasn't on list now but maybe next time..
I took a monthly measure (on sunday its been a month) and he has grown .5". Not the fastest thing for a Sen that i have seen but this guy is "semi" short body.
22. Jan: 4"
20. Feb: 4.5"
Andri Pogo, have your 2 grown anything?
Jakob

Thanks hebe.
News.
The ropefish jumped out and died.
Good news is that i just picked up a normal senegalus from a home. I didn't expect it to be so big, i didnt measure it 100% but it is between 9-10" (about 22-24cm).
It is a female, more than double the size of my albino male. They just met and were really interested in each other. I think that now my albino male can get some company, atleast he was acting really funny and looked to be really happy for the company, the only company he had was a Common Pleco that didnt like him alot, and the cichlids ofcourse dont give a damn about him so.
Well im not gonna make this any longer but i will try to get pics up tomorrow. Ive been really busy.
After the first night i saw that there had been a little fin nipping, but nothing to worry about.
The Albino Senegalus has really been showing more cannibalism the last 2 weeks, he killed a same size crayfish haha. Good that he is growing up.
Well i really changed my mind on the bigger sen eating the little albino, she made a good attempt to eat the poor little guy, im gonna let him grow out in my 20g.
Pics of the 9" Sen. Enjoy.
