Julidochromis marlieri? It's a julidochromis. I'm just not sure which species, since I am not good with tangs.

Looks like Juli. transcriptus, but it's been a while since I've been into Africans. That said, not American :).

wow your lfs is really bad at id'ing fish lol. wrong lake. its a tang, but i dont keep tanganyikas so im not sure-but it does look like a julie of sorts. some of the tang pro's will give you a better idea..
nice find-hes a good looking fish!
