bringing fish overseas???

Hey MFK.

I'll be going to China for vacation for maybe a little more than a week when midwinter recess comes. I hear that fish over there are really cheap. If I decide to bring something like a flowerhorn, or a happy breed mammon(nothing illegal of course), what is the process I have to go through? Can I just ship it myself to a transshipper here in nyc, or do I have to bring it to a transshipper in china, then have that transhipper ship it to the transshipper here in nyc?


any help would be appreciated-thanks in advance:)
 
You would have to register the list with CITES.
 
(costly, long process, not really worth it)
 
I am reffering to the importing process. Captive Bred and wild caught specimens are treated the same.
