I'm looking to stock a new 125 tank with haps and peacocks. Was wondering how many different ones to go with and how many of each. Open to all suggestions as I only have one fryeri so far that will go in there.

Well I will not be buying the tank till this coming week so right now I'm in the first stages of planning what to add. I will probably go all male as I can have the most colors that way. But I wouldn't mind a stocking choice either way. Could I do 20 different ones as a all male and 4 to 5 with 4 to 5 of each if I went mixed male/ female? I figure with the fryeri and other similar haps I wouldn't have to worry with fry except for food if I did go mixed, is this right?

If you go all male, you need one male of each only. Multiple males similar males will either not show color or cause huge aggression problems. If you go male/female you will not want any similar types. So 1m 4f. One type of peacock, and a then different types of haps the same. Nothing with in the same type or colors. This is difficult to do beyond two species. I would recommend one male per type show tank. With a 125 I would go peacocks and smaller haps.
