Will the 3/4" pane be enough? Is it overkill?
There will be a 3" border all around the glass for additional support so the actual viewing area is 104" x 30"
110" x 36" x 1/2" - Cost is $425 Weight is 175lbs
110" x 36" x 3/4" - Cost is $730 Weight is 250lbs
I'm considered overkill queen, but at that size, I'd really use the 3/4 just to be safe. I wouldn't want to risk a blowout or anything, and I have nightmares about that stuff, call me crazy.:nilly:

If you don't mind spending the extra money go for the thicker glass...it never hurts to over kill IMO

36" depth is what you need to look at....75" for sure...

You will need at least 5/8", which you will have a hard time finding. So go with the 3/4"

Yeah i'm not interested in cutting costs, just didn't want to waste any money..
.75 is what I was thinking as well. It's just most these glass shops I tank too have no clue and think .5 would be fine but when pressed they had no idea about aquariums and water pressure.
