what does it mean starts from 20th march-is that the promotion release or... am i right in thinking its 12.00pm est start on the 1st may when we can post our chosen number. bein a pain-but you know if its not asked by me, hundreds of others are gunna... cheers neo

1. must be active on MFK ... please dont post till you hit 300 then stop or if your already reach and pass the 300 mark then dont need to comeback till # picking... you must be "actively" involve with MFK. this raffle is for member who support MFK. its not for members who are here just for the prizes.

2. no spaming

If you win the raffle you are required to provide an import certificate. I have been informed that the exporter will help out as much as he possably can with the export of the fish to the winner.

the reason we give 1 month limits because we want to get this fish out to you...

This is my 1st post, on any forum. I belong to serval but mostly I just read the theads and veiw photos - when possible. I figure I might as well post a few to be able to do more. Not that I would or can post 300. Too intimating! How large of a tank would this guy require / special diet? It would be a shame for this guy to die in transport. Or be won by some one who cannot take care of him. Personaly my wife believes we have a pet store now. How many members do you have who never post? I really like the site and info. However I type with 2 fingers. My spelling is terrible. I have been out of fish keeping for 15 years. ( Many things have changed, which makes me uncomfortable giving anyone advice. ) Lastly I'm not much of a techie. ( Spam you !!!! I've never made a CD! ) I see the smilely guys but everyone else has photos and all the ? Headings and info ect. Thank you for the Web site but I'll probably post 5 times and not bother anyone again. This is the best raffle I have ever seen. I too am determined to win.

I had a high quality red aro many years ago that I raised from a 6" minnow.
It was my pride and joy and I was devastated when it passed away. Since then I only keep RTG and have cut back my fishkeeping *a lot*

(at one point I had an entire basement filled with many 10g to 180g tanks, now I just have one tank)

I have a large poster of a magnificent red over my tank, kind of mean to my RTG to do that, but keeps the dream alive.

Yeah this raffle rules, whoever wins better treat it good. I'll depart with my rtg in a heartbeat for a red.
I already have all the paperwork necessary, just need a chip number and a lucky draw eh

In Singapore, the value of a young VIP red ranges from USD 1200.00 - 2000.00. So far, only Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong, China & UK have VIP reds. Other then that, there shouldn't be any VIP aros in other countries unless the owner hand carried one themselves form Singapore. :)

As regards to winner of this aro, below are the procedures on how we will ship the aro to overseas winner:-

1) MKF staff will liase with the winner directly for their contacts and address
inorder to allow us to proceed with the arrangements to ship the Asian Aro
over.
2) The winner of this VIP red has to apply for the import permit in their own
country.
3) In Singapore, we will take care of the export permit and the air freight charges
4) Upon arrival, the airport staff will contact the winner to collect the winning
prize from the airport.

We have been handling alot of importation / exportation of live ornamental fishes worldwide and the percentage of motality is very low. Therefore it is quite safe....but if the winning prize is dead upon arrival, kindly note that there won't be any replacement for it. Here is the rule stated very clearing on regards to your query!

neo, if we win, will the fish be delivered to us or will we have to go to singapore to get it? i dont think i have the moolah and time to go for a sigapore trip, LOL. how exactly does the prize claiming work? i know ive read about it before but i forgot.......

AFAIK, only Singapore members must be there in person to take the aro... All others get it shipped. No need to go there, only if you really want to. :D

i dont mean to sound like a bad losser (if i dont win) but i just have a funny feeling that the fish wont leave singapore

but if it helps i do have a freind in singapore right now and for the next 2 weeks if it helps ;)

Anyway if the winner is someone who is not residing in Singapore, then we will get it ship to them!

As for the winner, he/she has to get the paperwork done for the importation of this Asian Arowana from their relavant authority/s. Once all documentations is done, we will ship the fish to their airport and the winner will claim it from the airport.
