ca is the state most unlikely to ever allow snakeheads to be kept no matter if fedral law ever changes.

most things are banned in ca due to the climate and potentiol survival rate of any species released

i think they used to not be illegal... they were very common and cheap at many LFS's in so cal. i owned two of them many years ago. they grew too big for my tank so i tossed them into a lake i fish at frequently. i'm just kidding. they jumped out of my tank and turned into fish jerky on my carpet.

unfortunately, yes.
On the other hand, Canada actually has a very high rate of UNbanned fish.
It is no illegal to keep zebra mussels in Canada...
Walking cats are also legal
I really wanted a channa, but things change.....
Now I want to move to Japan, but that ain't happening anytime soon either.
Of course one completes the other, but let's not nitpick.
