It's hard to tell when they are still juvies. It could be a RTG or SR. The cert should tell what it is.

Will if you bought it as a banjar then it will become a banjar or other people call it 1.5 red.
great pickup nonetheless!!
i have 2 other banjars. this one doesnt look anything like them. the other ones have a shiny silverish body and less red. this one has a darker body color as you can see and the red on the tail looks more red in person. i also compared it to other peoples on the web and they resemble more of the shiny silverish body. so i was thinkn possibly some other kinda mix? green x rtg? green x xb? green x ? can anyone tell?
and the top layers of scale are a little orange! what can it be?
honestly u should wait till it hits a foot... from there take a pic and we can decide on what it is :) as of now it seems like a green x rtg if anything
hoping for some gold on this beauty :)
this guy might be RTG other 2 banjar

It's a Banjar or 1.5 Red. The different is RTG only 1/3 or 1/2 of the tail red. BTW, Bajar is the production of green x red, so green x rtg would be the same

I agree, its a 1.5 whether grn X rtg / grn x red hybrid..or HALF BREED :D
Not all are the same imo. Some may appear silvery but some will have some form of colouration on them as they age.
What do you think of my 2 banjar? Age different is 1 year plus apart.

I think they call green x rtg a "harmony". Dreamfish (Merlion) is famous for it.

Difference in color could due to age. Arowana doesn't show much color until they reach certain age. There's color showed on the lower jaw of the small one already, and the color looks the same as in the bigger one. Also, the lighting, shade, location of the fish in the picture could make them look different. Look at the part of the body at the top fin near the tail on the bigger one in 2nd picture. The scale color looks the same as the smaller one.

Red is a specie of arowana. Banjar red is a crossbreed between green arowana and other specie (red, or RTG)
