I've kept them on two occasions...without much long-term success.
The first try was a group of 3 Teleocichla monogramma. I kept them in a 40g tank with tons of water movement and hiding spots...with some danios. They did great for a couple of months...and the male offed the first female and then the other one. I added the remaining male to a grow out tank of other fish...and he disappeared.
I acquired a group (3) of Teleocichla "xinguensis?" and gave them even more hiding spots and some peaceful tankmates. Over the next couple of months the dominant male again killed the other two. He's still alive and doing great. Pushing 3" now.
They're "interesting" fish...not really worth the trouble, in my opinion...
