Thats kinda hard to say because ppl are constantly breeding new hybrids all the time and most likely if its the newest discovery of hybrids then its going to become the rarest unless they breed a lot of them and give them out or sell them to everyone.

ARE RTCS THE CATFISH CASSANOVAS!?

BTW, if you want rare, why don't you try finding an Arowana hybrid? Don't know if it has even been done, though.

Another would be any of the Crocodile Gars, which are essentially any 1 Gar species that crossbred with an Alligator Gar.

TSN x ripsaw is crazy, but rtc x paroon is also. RTC x Paroon is catfish from south american from pimelodidae crossed with a paroon shark from asian in the pangasidae family. It completely breaks the laws of hybrids lol. Our hobby is rewriting the definition of a hybrid. TSN x Ripsaw is extremely crazy also. RTC x Bolt is crazy, but they are closely related so not so shocking, but definitely rare. TSN x Blochii is a strange one that I owned once! Thinking of doing a few of my own!

i understand what are hybrid but i have one question for you guys, aren't we
(humans) part of mother nature, after all we are part of this thing we call "evolution",so just because we have bigger brain's (at lest most of us do) and we can do things faster than nature can???

Cichlidsrool, I think you have us all lost. Humans are part of nature and evolutions yes. What exactly are you asking? Are you asking if hybrid crosses are part of natural evolution?

There are naturally occuring hybrids if that's what you're asking. The closer in relation to each other the seperate species are the easier they will hybridize, and might even be able to produce viable offspring. The further apart they are, the less likely they are to hybridize. Lets say you cross a rtc and tsn(hehe) they are closely related so you might get a 50% success rate when combining them. Now when you take a tsn and hybridize it with a niger catfish that might drop to something like 5-10%. These are not actual numbers, but you get the point. The way that most hybrids are created is just by simply mixing the sperm and egg of two different species in a container. They do the rest on their own. It's too costly to inject every single egg that makes a hybrid. Therefore if they couldn't do it on their own then it wouldn't happen at all. Hope this makes some sense.

He is trying to say that, because we are more smater and advanced than other animals, that we should be able to make things faster than nature, e.g make hybrids.....

but its not really a rare or strange mix, however, I do agree that they probably would look good.
I have a male sajica and a female salvini that have become pair. Its an interresting mix.

is this real? what is it??

its the infamous clownrhino. First succesful breeds from a spawn between photoshop and a rhino.
Very rare and needs a huge tank with large areas of grass and a few drinkingholes.
Tankmates could be Zebraplecos and Parrots. Not compatible with any Lionfish at all.
