Awesome pike, which type is he? Also how do you clean a tank with sand, doesn't it get syphoned out?

Hahaha ya i kinda figured that when i seen the pictures of your fish, but still yours is really different looking.
Awesome pike, which type is he? Also how do you clean a tank with sand, doesn't it get syphoned out?
Thankyou. Its a Belly Crawler Crenicichla. Also when i clean the tank you just houver the sand and it sucks up all the dirt from the top, then i rake the sand and do it again over the top. You lose alittle bit but not much at all.

Thankyou, I need to get some new ones of him but ive gotta redo his home. And WOW i call every fish i have a mr untill i find out what it is and its turning out more and more that i have alot of females lol. My poor husband. So may i ask how can you tell?

the first photo is the give away i think. the reddish spot below the lateral line means female. also i read that they get a red band on the dorsal fin sometimes. its wierd tho cuz the other photos dont really have any of those similiar traits.
i guess i could be wrong but i think its a female.

I would say female by the color on the first pic as well. You can see a hint of the red/orange on some of the other shots. . . does it have a spot in the center of the dorsal fin?

Your probley right, i know she doesnt show it constantly though, it all depends on her mood.
