they turn dark, when stressed, or just when they are hiding. Once they feel safe and are out and about swimming you see their true colors. AT least that's what mine does.

Are you sure they're widebars or just Indos or thinbars?

They could just be indos.

Basically unique bars are usually in demand. But thats just a personal opinion. I would much rather have one with absolute perfect bars.

Things such as necklace bars are nice too.

But the most important factor is the GOLD! Any stable dat is a good one whether its wide bar or not...

If it were me, id be chosing the most stable one...

Well for me... when i pick out a baby wide bar, i usually look for bars that go all the way down just like the full necklaces, how thick the bars are, i definately make sure there is no split bars when there isn't suppose to be any!
Datnoids are beautiful fish and look awesome when they are comfortable in their habitat... they swim around showing off they're golden bodies with jet black bars!
I must say... Beautiful Monsters!

my second favourite fish after my aro.
as long as they are stable and eat like crazy you will love them.

Thanks for the comments guys and gals.

I dont think there is a separate forum just for dats. I think the minimum number for keeping them together is 3, but how can you possibly keep just three? ;)
