fire eel bloated dropsy help

how to cure fire eel of dropsy? iv been adding aquarium salt for every 5g for 2 weeks now he seems to get worse now i just cant stand looking at him suffer anymore now hes all curled up in the corner skinny and a swelling stomic..sigh..god help me eel..
