Thanks Solomon! I got another one in my 180g all by itself as it's very aggressive. It acts like an african lungfish.

No, not that expensive. I payed $100 for this guy at 21" and it's probably cheaper to get a smaller one maybe aroudn 12". His almost 30" now.

Sweet setup!! I just picked up a 6" lungfish yesterday from the Aquatics store I work at. It's in a 20 gal. quarantine setup for now, and I'll move him/her into the 250 gallon system in a couple months. It's dark and slender with neat yellow markings on his/her face. Is it South American or African?? I posted a video of it on YouTube, just type in "baby lungfish" and you'll see one of a tank with blue gravel and it in there. Any thoughts as to which species it is?? Thanks. ;)

It's a Slender African Lungfish. Nice lungfish btw! Planning to get one for myself.

Once again, I can see why I look up to you as the MASTER MONSTER COMMER!!!

BTW, what's that catfish in the 1st and 2nd pics? Looks like a Doradid.

Also, are you still keeping another SAL and the AUL in that tank?

It's a ripsaw catfish. And yes the Australian lungfish is also in that tank, but the other SAL in the 180g by itself as it's very aggressive toward the other lungfish.

Nice, it's a shame they lose the gold specks when they mature. I love that last shot though!

Only all 4 african spcecies are the one that must be keep alone. South american can be mix with other fish but sometimes it a hit or miss. They can be aggressive too.

how big do they get when full grown?
4 feet.
