It's a 7-7.5" palmas. It has one cloudy eye, so I got it for a good price. I have a couple pix...took some of some of the other bichirs in the tank. I'll try for more later. FWIW, it's in a 75 w/ 8" polli, the palmas, 6.5" senegalus, 5" delhezi, 4" albino sen, M/F pair of 6-6.5" lucius pikes and a 10" BGK. I have a 9" buttikoferi that's going to go in with them once the albino gets big enough.

Nice! What kinda sand is that? Seems kinda orangish... I like it. :D
Edit : And by orange I mean a dark yellowish... Maybe I should get my eyes checked... Still I like it!

it's 3M ColorQuartz "tan" s-grade. It lightens up from the color on the website in the water. It's not quite as bright as in the pix.

Your not worried about the buttikoferi messing with them?
I have had no luck with putting my buttikoferi with anything else.

thanks for all the kind words again. I'm just hoping to get a retro and moke to complete my small bichir collection and put in there with them. I've had 2 retros but had bad luck with them...I need to find one at a decent size this time. When my 125 opens back up, I'm hoping to put them and my SA/CA growouts in there.

thanks. I'm always looking for "rooty" stuff, but they only time I can find any is when I collect my own...going hunting hard when the weather warms up this year.
