i dont get why many cichla keepers still keep their tanks at full even though cichla hit the surface so hard....

Its cause our overflows are set really high, so if we do lower the water level then we'd have to drill new overflows to suit the new water level heights..

:iagree: With Silverdragon the Bass never hurt themselves so its not a big issue.

you use those PVC pipes?
cant you just cut it?

ive always been afraid of my fishing hitting themselves...ive seen it done.:(

I have 2 40mm bulkheads going through the rear of the tank, There is no way for me to lower the water level as the bulkheads are up high this is why my water level is where its at.
I love that setup! Your tank looks great!
