I am the proud new owner of 3 healthy bichirs! Its my first time! :grinno:
I picked up an Ornate, Delhezi and what I think is a Senegal but I'm not sure. Ill need a positive ID.
Pictures too come! Who wants to see them?

This is it! This is one of the best deals Ive gotten. Lets just say I got hooked up!
They're around 12" I didn't measure but that looks about right. All three are really active, colors are bright.

Last night I was just telling myself that I wont get excited until I had them. Now its for sure I have them. :headbang2
This is the one I need an ID on I think its a Sen but I'm not sure.

Thanks onion you're the man! I thought it couldn't be a Sen because it was the same size as the others and had some markings. That's good news for me now he won't get eaten when the others get bigger lol.

I'm new to bichirs, from my end I don't know if they're wild caught. One of the stickies say that up until a few years ago all were wild caught.

that is one nice fat delhezi
delhezi that have stripes are wild caught and http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=220467 in it has my captive bred delhezi(6th picture the 1 with few spot near dorsalfin and caudal fin)
