I have a AC 110 that sounds like a lawn mower.I've dismantled it and cleaned out all of the parts, including the propeller and motor. My question is whether it would be okay (fish safe) to add some oil to the moving metal parts so that it's not so loud. When I was cleaning it it seemed like there was already some on it...

mmm..thats a tricky question....I used a small tiny dot of A&D ointment..that quieted the impeller of my Marineland 400 down alot...
