Hi all!! I want to add two AquaClear 110's to my 135 but the tank is only 4" from the wall. I need to slide the tank forward about 2". I have six 5 gallon water bottles and was wondering if you guys think it would be OK to slide the tank forward on a tile floor with 30 gallons removed?
THANKS!!
BTW I am selling my EHEIM PRO II 2028 for $60. PM me if interested.

If you can get the tank to slide, 60-70% of the water removed wont be a problem, it would just be like a big water change. Whenever I have to move tanks I remove most of the water and fill them back up with similar temp. water from the tap and add dechlor.

i would take out some a little more 100 gallons is still gonna be about 850lbs not including tank weight and gravel

Do NOT try to move 100 gals of water with the tank. If you don't weaken a seal, you'll at least give yourself a hernia moving 1000 pounds. Plus, you'll likely damage your stand by putting a side motion stress on it that can cause it to buckle. Either drop $25 on a couple of 50 gal trash cans to put the water in. Or, do a 50% gravel wash/waterchange before saving 30 gals and replace the rest from the tap.

agreed and i learned my lesson the hard way. I screwed up the seal of a 75 G by doing that.

use the jugs to save 30g of tank water and drain the rest out.

you are asking for trouble trying to move a tank with water in it, even if it is just a little. go through the trouble and empty it.
Thanks guys/gals. Im gonna pick up a couple of trash cans and save most of the water. The rest will be a water change. :)
