Hey guys. This is my first post here on MFK. I have your typical columbia pike in my 100 gallon. He/she is at bout 4". I just got it last weekend so he is just now settling in well. ATM he only eats live foods, he absolutely refuses frozen and prepared foods. Without further ado:

He has some missing tail in this photo, but over the past week it has healed almost 100%.

Ah Rome ... The coliseum, the pantheon, the fishing ... :nilly:
Welcome to MFK ... you could not have picked a better folder to do you first post in!!
Wow, no frozen even? What live foods are you providing, and what frozen have you tried?? I've given up on pellets for my pikes, the best I have been able to get them too is freeze-dried.

I have tried krill, bloodworms, brineshrimp and beefheart. Maybe it just needs time to settle in. But he gladly takes live shrimp and guppies.

nice to see another georgian :D nice pike where did you get it from. i got one just like it from marine and tropical a few weeks ago, prolly about the same size. mine will take any type of food, never tried live though. its most likely a sveni though, i've seen them at almost every fish store in the area

I got him at Atlantis, my favorite shop. His tail was nipped at in the tank he was in at the shop, it is healing nicely now to almost 100%. He has found a nice rock to hide underneath. Sooner or later I will post a full tank shot, this is, when I get my camera back.
