Hi Everyone,

First off thanks for all the advice on my australian arowana "aussie," it was very helpful!
I was finally able to get my 100G acrylic tank setup last week. It took about a day, probably the hardest part was filling the tank with water since the opening on the stand is small and I didnt have a water pump or a hose to fill the tank the smart way.
The tank has a waterfall like run-off in the back onto filters that fills up compartments filled with bio balls. I found that intially the noise was fairly loud and that the water splashed out in large volumes. To remedy the noise and the runoff I filled the runoff spots with filter media and the hung additional media to channel the runoff onto carbon filters. With all the moving and fatigue this was the best idea my frazzled brain could come up with. I think it works great tho, the sound is minimal and it looks good. I have also added 3 cyclindrical powerhead filters in the tank.
I also had to move my 30g tank with aussie out of my old place and get him going into my new tank. I thank everyone for the advice for cycling the water, and I came up with a modified approach. So I filled up the acrylic tank with new water and treated with all the chemicals (chlorine remover, stress coat, etc) and let the tank run for a week. Then I had to move out of the old place so I brought all the water from my old tank, dumped out some of the water in the new tank, and transferred all the filters and gravel to the new tank.
It's been about a week since aussie has been in his new tank, and so far it doesnt seem like there are any problems. He has been eating, but since the tank is deeper now, it's difficult to get him to eat floating krill or even his favorite crickets from the surface. I have ended up feeding him mealworms that sink to the ground level.
Anyways here are some pics of the whole schabang.
