Wow that is definitely one of the best looking Istlanum that I have ever seen. Very nice show quality specimen.

I got him when he was still around 1.5" last year. Actually, They were two, the other one died after a month.
A month ago I got another one at around 2.5". Hopefully it will be a female.

he grew 7" in a year?! what size tank is he in? I thought these things maxed around 10", but yours will obviously have plenty more growing to do.

his initial tank was 15g. then was moved to a 75g (with divider, motaguense on the opposite side) when he reached 5"-6". right now, the growth has slowed down.
