I'm adding the sens tonight... I am using a filter cartridge from another established tank, along with the new filter media that came with the new filter, and after talking to a couple people on setup and filteration, I think it will work.

Well thank you very much. :D

I'm hoping these guys will put on some NASTY size in the next couple of weeks... That should hold me over til I start looking for a del or two. ;)

Are you keeping the planted tank running? I want to see how those sword plants fill out :)

Stump

Yeah, the other tank is still up and running with my Sev and BGK. The Argentine Swords' days may be numbered, as my severum has learned to distinguish which plants are real and which are fake (the only real ones are the Argentines).

I've been trimming the dead/eaten leaves, and there seems to be some promising growth coming through, so who knows... Can't expect too much with the plants getting sunlight a few hours a day, and then a 17w bulb the rest of the time... lol

I'm thinking about bichirs and African Butterfly Fish... I think 4-5 of them cruising around the top would look sweet with the bichirs down below... Top and bottom predators.

I'm definately sticking with just the bichirs...

I'll post some pics either today or tomorrow showing the progress in growth. They started at 3" - 3 1/2" when I got them to a pretty impressive 4 1/2 - 5" now. They are putting on some girth too. Still not as round as i've seen others though... pretty normal actually.
