I installed my fluval fx5 turned it on and couple minutes later i started getting lots of micro bubbles in my tank.

I cleaned the skimmer out and put in a new pad in the diffuser box and it still puts micro bubbles into my tank just not as bad. I ran in for a day and a bit and still does it.

Its a coralife super skimmer also

Any other suggestions.

Usually it takes a week or two for skimmers and filters to break-in and develop a nice slime-coating. My skimmer was horrible with micro-bubbles, and about two weeks later it stopped completely.

Most all skimmers will produce micro bubbles for the first couple weeks, this will go away after then. A trick we use a lot is to clean the skimmer real well with hot water and vinegar, then let soak overnight and rinse well. This help a lot and will shorten the time of the bubbles, they seem to be caused from manufacturing residue not letting the coating form on the acrylic. HTH

I had the same problem with mine-just no one to explaine it, Makes sense. Now it runs clear no bubbles. I run it 5 days a month and my macro algae grabs the rest.
