nice tank. my first real tank housed africans as well- their colors and demeanor always kept the tank looking nice and busy. thanks for sharing.

Sweet Setup! My place is starting to resemble a pet store with all the aquariums I have running,
but doesn't this belong in the African Rift Lake Cichlids Media Lounge (http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=273)

I have 4 tanks going
(55g mbuna w/4 Labidochromis Caeruleus & 2 Metriaclima greshakei, 40g mbuna w/four Pseudotropheus lombardoi, 20g blackish w/one Green Spotted Puffer, & a 10g grow out with a holding Electric yellow lab)
Soon I hope to be running the 55g I found at a garage sale possibly with some S.A. Cichlids (I haven't decided what I am going to put in it yet!)

Awesome set up.

It's scary when both of you are into the fish! There's no one to say "Enough!" I have that same deal in my house. My husband is just as fish crazy as I am.

That thing took months of glueing, my husband almost gave up on it but he followed through though!! it came out really cool, we even spray painted it green and black it looked great when he finished it... The fish used to all hide out in there though so they were really hard to catch and didn't get to see them as much, I like the way we have it now so we can always see them and see what they're up to...

Yeah it is nice to share a hobby but like stated before, it can get scary when neither of you knows when to stop lol :nilly:Like I can't believe we went from having one fish tank to 10 in the matter of 1 yr and now he's building a huge stand and like oh yeah this way "if we want to add more we'll have room and if we want to upgrade later it can hold a 280"... :WHOA:
I though 10 would be the max about 3 months ago and now we are not only considering but actually adding more bc our friend was getting rid of it so who else is gonna take it lol:naughty: more fry being born soon and more fish getting bought... no we are not wealthy but crazy about these africans, going shopping next sunday to get some hopefully (wilcaught) peacocks etc, whatever !! hopefully this will be the end of the buying and we can just breed them... Anyways thanks for the comments anyone got suggestions for us (besides stop the insanity lol)?

hehehe yeah i got a solution to the issue at hand build a 2000gal concrete tank with an extra thick glass in front for viewing and be able to climb in with a wet suit and swim with your fishes.. but cool on you guys having an outlet when your done you will be able to sit back and enjoy.. later my friend..
